You’re Not Disconnected from Your Intuition — You’re Just Not Trusting It Yet

If you’ve ever said “I don’t trust myself” or “I feel disconnected from my intuition,” let me gently reframe that for you. You’re not disconnected. You’ve just been trained to doubt what you already know.

From a young age, we’re conditioned to prioritize logic over sensation, explanation over feeling, and external validation over inner knowing. Over time, this creates a subtle but powerful split between the mind and the body — and intuition lives in the body. Not in the head. Not in the noise. Not in the overthinking.

Overthinking Is Not a Flaw — It’s a Control Mechanism

Overthinking isn’t a sign that something is wrong with you. It’s the mind trying to stay in control in a world that taught you it wasn’t safe to trust yourself.

But intuition doesn’t respond to pressure. It responds to presence. You don’t need more clarity. You need less interference. When the mind runs in loops, it drowns out the quiet, grounded intelligence of the body — the place where truth is felt, not argued.

Your First Hit Is Clean — The Second Thought Is Conditioning

Intuition speaks once. It’s fast. It’s neutral. It doesn’t come with justification. The second thought — the one that questions, doubts, and rewrites the original knowing — that’s conditioning. That’s fear trying to sound reasonable. When you learn to recognize this pattern, everything changes.

Self-trust stops feeling elusive and starts feeling available.

External Validation Weakens the Self-Trust Muscle

Asking others for perspective can be supportive — but outsourcing your knowing is different.

Every time you look outside yourself for permission to do what you already feel is right, you teach your system not to trust its own signals.

You don’t need permission. You need presence. Self-trust isn’t built by doing it “perfectly.”

It’s remembered by choosing yourself — again and again.

Self-Trust Is Remembered Through the Body

Self-trust isn’t something you hustle for. It’s something you return to.

It happens when you:

  • slow down instead of rushing

  • drop into sensation instead of analysis

  • act before doubt gets loud

Your intuition has never left you. It’s been waiting patiently for you to choose it.
